Epson sponsors ‘Believing Is Seeing’ by Vincent Versace at OPTIC West photography event

Versace will talk about the importance of “the photographic impression”

LOS ALAMITOS, CA – November 1, 2022 – Committed to supporting photographic printing, Epson today announced that it will sponsor a professional photographer Vincent Versace see you next time OPTICAL West event November 6-7 in Monterey, CA. Speaking at the Nov. 7 event, Versace’s “Believing Is Seeing” presentation will discuss the importance of the photographic impression and include a small gallery of impressions that will be shared with the public. Versace will be giving away a letter-size copy of its famous “Cuba Blue” image for those who attend its session.

A recognized pioneer in the art and science of digital photography, Versace is considered one of the finest photographic artists and visual storytellers of this era. “I strongly believe that the photographic impression is important – and actually makes everyone a better photographer,” said Versace. “There is nothing more special than looking at a print to truly experience your image. I look forward to sharing my work and my passion at OPTIC West.

The OPTIC West conference is organized by B&H Photo and will be held for the first time in Monterey on the California coast. With two days of presentations, a trade show, photo reviews and contests and a mini whale watching photo expedition, the event is designed for lovers of wildlife, travel and scenery. For those unable to join OPTIC West in person, live streaming options will be available.

Versace will present Monday, Nov. 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. PT on the Explorer Stage. Versace has received the Computerworld Smithsonian Award in Media Arts & Entertainment, the Photo Mentor of the Palm Beach Photographic Center and the Shellenberg fine art award. His work is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of American History at the Smithsonian Institution.
