JOB TITLE: Nursing/Clinical Simulation Coordinator

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Clinical/Simulation Nursing Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating laboratory, clinical and simulation experiences for nursing students and serves as a liaison between the nursing department and clinical partners.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates and facilitates laboratory, clinical, and nursing simulation experiences for all levels of nursing students. Includes, but is not limited to, application for clinical sites and facilities, clinical faculty and student assignments, orientation for clinical experiences, and a preceptorship program.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Nursing and course faculty in planning, designing, organizing, and delivering clinical, laboratory, and simulation activities to meet course needs and schedule.
  • Serves as a member of the nursing faculty and is responsible for managing and directing the nursing, clinical, and simulation laboratory learning experiences.
  • Monitors inventory and orders necessary supplies for the skills and simulation lab, including completing the annual inventory
  • Uses and emphasizes teaching methods that promote the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and clinical skills for real-world application in the simulation lab.
  • Create and update course curriculum objectives related to laboratory, clinical, and simulation experiences.
  • Maintain the laboratory policies and procedures manual.
  • Creates and maintains assigned databases to ensure complete and accurate information related to clinical and simulation experiences.
  • This position may require travel to other ASUB campuses and a flexible schedule including occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
  • Ensures onboarding/orientation of new faculty and ensures clear clinical and simulation related goals and expectations.
  • Provides comprehensive support to faculty and Director of Nursing regarding clinical and simulation experiences.
  • Teach classes and attend clinical rotations throughout the calendar year as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience that includes simulation technology and patient care
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Arkansas

PAY: $38,425

WORK TITLE: Assistant Controller/Contracts and Grants Administrator

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Assistant Controller/Grants Administrator maintains general financial records and performs various accounting functions for the University, including bank statement reconciliations, general ledger entries, processing of benefits payments, and other related duties. This position is also responsible for planning, organizing and managing the tax aspects of local, state and federal grants obtained by the University. The position will also serve as a backup for the Payroll Accountant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee all grant-related functions. This includes federal and state grants. Work closely with grant directors to monitor budgets, process budget changes, provide month-end expense reports to directors, prepare required reports for grant providers, and process billings/levies for grants. This also includes financial aid (i.e. Pell, direct loans, etc.).
  2. Prepare bank reconciliations for all University bank accounts including operations, investments and payroll.
  3. Perform general ledger related tasks. Prepare, process and file journal entries. Process internal departmental budget charges and reconcile capital equipment purchases on a monthly basis.
  4. Perform payroll related tasks. Including serving as a back-up for the payroll accountant when required, verifying pay checks and payroll requests each pay period.
  5. Process benefits reconciliations and payments.
  6. Provide support and assistance to Controller as required. This includes processing journal entries, generating reports as needed, assisting with year-end closing. Assist auditors as needed.
  7. Prepare invoicing of external third parties.
  8. Perform any other related duties required or assigned.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or related field.
  • Fund accounting experience strongly preferred.

PAY: $42,000-$46,000
