NYC4PA International Juried Photography Call: Primary Colors | ArtsHub United Kingdom

The New York Center for Photographic Arts (NYC4PA) invites photographers worldwide to submit images using any photographic process (print, image transfer, emulsion transfer, encaustic, black and white, etc.) .

RED, YELLOW, and BLUE balloons were Wonder Bread’s trademark for 1950s television children. They are also the three basic paint colors an artist needs. Although mixed together you can create a world of colors, each one stands out as an important visual element. This competition is for images in which one of these colors is an essential element. You will submit each image in one of the RED, BLUE or YELLOW categories. Possibilities include – black and white photographs with a single point of color, a monochrome red, yellow or blue, basically any image where red, yellow or blue stands out as an important part of the composition. Is the blue sky a main element of your image, a red ball or maybe a pair of funky yellow sunglasses? Have you edited a print to have all shades of red? Be creative and send us your best!

Eligibility: This call for applications is open worldwide to amateur and professional photographers. NYC4PA invites photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Only 2D works are eligible.

What you get: Winners will receive $4,000 in cash prizes, will be featured on the NYC4PA online gallery and in the PRIMARY COLORS catalog. The Grand Prize winning image will be posted on the NYC4PA homepage.

Costs: Entry fee is $35 for the first three images. Additional images can be submitted for $10 each. There is no limit to the number of images submitted.

Deadline 09 October 2022
