WASHINGTON — “Candid Photography” with photographs by Taylor Giroux, will be on display at the Stairwell Gallery at the Gunn Memorial Library, March 19 through April 23, with a reception from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. March 19.

Giroux, a senior from Shepaug Valley High School chose candid photography as her senior project.

“I have been interested in photography since the age of five; and I thought it would be a fun way to include my friends, family and community in my project while exploring the history and art of this type of photography,” she said.

Giroux took as many photography classes as she could in Shepaug and put her knowledge of candid photography to good use by taking photos at school events, basketball games and around town, editing her photos in an app called PhotoshopExpress.
